Morocco is a land of breathtaking contrasts. From its stunning Mediterranean and Atlantic beaches giving way to lush meadows, forests and vineyards… to the snow-covered Atlas Mountains and the constantly shifting dunes and desert environment of the Sahara
With the young and forward-looking King Mohammed VI at the helm, there is a commitment to huge growth in both residential tourism and general tourism. Stylish developments are now under construction on both coasts, marinas; golf courses, luxury hotels are all part of the overall plan. Little more than three hours’ flying time from most European cities, the region is served by the airports of Marrakech, Agadir, Casablanca, Fez and Tangier. EasyJet and Ryanair are already operating various low-cost flights – with more sure to follow. At its narrowest point, Morocco is separated from Spain by only a 14-kilometre stretch of Mediterranean, and currently there are plans on the drawing-board to build a tunnel connecting it to mainland Europe.
